aBOUT ME
My name is Colten Powers, and fishing is in my blood. I grew up in the heart of Southern Tennessee, where my days were spent pond hopping, casting for bass, and learning the ways of the water. From the moment I picked up a rod, I knew it was more than just a hobby..it was a way of life. The excitement of a strike, the adrenaline of a fight, and the tranquility of being out on the water became my passion, and it’s never let go.
As I grew older, my love for water only grew stronger, leading me to join the U.S. Coast Guard, where I found a new way to merge my career with my passion. But while I was serving, I realized something.. fishing wasn’t just a pastime for me it was my calling. That’s when I decided to take the leap and turn my passion for fishing into something more by becoming a custom rod builder.
I took my small shop on the road, getting stationed all over the country, fishing every type of water I could find, from the jetties in south Texas to the bays of California, and now here in the clear waters of Puerto Rico. Every fish caught, every technique learned, and every angler I met along the way sharpened my skills not just as a fisherman, but as a rod builder. I’ve seen firsthand how the right rod can transform a fishing experience, Whether you’re after a trophy fish or just enjoying a day on the water.
Building custom rods isn’t just about crafting a tool—it’s about creating an intimate connection between you, the water, and the fish. Every custom rod I build is a reflection of that passion, with every detail thoughtfully designed to match your style, your body, and the fish you’re chasing.
What started as a kid fishing on a small pond has grown into a lifelong journey to craft rods that take anglers to the next level. It’s more than just building a rod—it’s about giving you the confidence and performance to make every cast count, to feel every bite, and to land that fish with pride.
Let’s create a rod that’s as unique as your passion for fishing. Together, we’ll build something that not only performs but feels like an extension of you.
